Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms govern your use of YamlBox (the “Service”), available at https://yamlbox.pages.dev. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

YamlBox provides free, browser-based developer utilities. All conversions, formatting and analysis are performed locally in your web browser. We do not receive, store, or process the content you paste into the tools, and no account is required to use them.

2. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to process content you have no right to process.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or circumvent technical protections of the Service.
  • Do not present the Service, or a substantial copy of it, as your own product.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to content you process with the tools. Because processing happens in your browser and no content is transmitted to us, we claim no licence over your content — we could not exercise one if we wanted to. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the data you paste into the tools, particularly where it contains personal or confidential information.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Conversion tools implement published specifications, but you are responsible for verifying output before relying on it — particularly before applying generated configuration to production systems.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YamlBox and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is zero) or EUR 50.

6. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue tools at any time. We aim to keep URLs and behaviour stable, and to document significant changes, but the Service is offered free of charge and without any availability commitment or service-level agreement.

7. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party sites or open-source libraries. We are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. Your use of third-party material is governed by those parties’ terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Service’s design, text, branding and original code are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy or redistribute them except as permitted by applicable law or with written permission. Open-source components are used under their respective licences.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
